Emerging from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Mystique is a Nashville-based recording artist and songwriter. Blending pop-rock and alternative influences, she creates emotionally driven music that captures moments of heartbreak, reflection, and growth. On November 7, 2025, Mystique released her self-titled debut EP, marking the introduction of her distinctive sound and songwriting perspective.
The EP’s tracks explore different chapters of her personal life, from the aftermath of betrayal to the experience of opening up to love again. Each song reflects a willingness to confront uncomfortable emotions with honesty and intensity, pairing vivid storytelling with energetic pop-rock melodies. Drawing inspiration from the bold, rebellious texture that Avril Lavigne once brought to the industry, Mystique aims to build on that foundation while pushing her sound into a more emotionally layered and modern direction.
Mystique’s growing body of work has begun to attract recognition within the music community. Mystique's song "Ninety Nine" was announced as a Semi Finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Additionally, she has been featured on regional FM stations and interviewed by VoyageMichigan Magazine, The Sun and News, Local Spins, PublicBored, and CanvasRebel Magazine. She was also selected by the Johnny Mercer Foundation, where she collaborated with industry professionals to further refine her songwriting and artistic vision.
Known for her bright, vibrant vocal tone and captivating stage presence, Mystique blends pop sensibility with rock energy in a way that feels both playful and emotionally grounded. Supporters often describe her music as fun, energetic, and relatable, with influences reminiscent of artists such as Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sabrina Carpenter.
Currently, Mystique performs with her full band at notable Nashville venues including The End and The Cobra, showcasing both her original music and select covers that resonate deeply with her artistic identity. In addition to live performances, she is actively participating in Nashville’s songwriter community, performing in writers’ rounds such as Swift Showcase, 6 Strings and Me, PorchLight Pickers, and others.
Mystique has already begun working on her next project, which explores a new emotional territory centered on grief, confusion, and self-discovery following the end of a significant relationship. This upcoming body of work asks deeper questions about identity, emotional accountability, and the lasting impact of love – whether through reckoning, acceptance, or simply learning how to let go.
